Tom's Blog

I am an avid reader of Tom's Blog.

I found this on Tom's Blog. Brilliant!!!

For the record, one of my childhood dreams was (and still is) to get a wall sized canvas and dip myself in paint then run up and hit multiple body sillouhettes on the canvas. How can I accomplish doing this??

So funny!

Christie, I dedicate this post to you. MUAH!

The stereotypical differences between Aussies, Brits, Americans and Canadians.

Aussies: Dislike being mistaken for Pommies (Brits) when abroad.
Canadians: Are rather indignant about being mistaken for Americans when abroad.
Americans: Encourage being mistaken for Canadians when abroad.
Brits: Can't possibly be mistaken for anyone else when abroad.

Canadians: Endure bitterly cold winters and are proud of it.
Brits: Endure oppressively wet and dreary winters and are proud of it.
Americans: Don't have to do either, and couldn't care less.
Aussies: Don't understand what inclement weather means.

Americans: Drink weak, pissy-tasting beer.
Canadians: Drink strong, pissy-tasting beer.
Brits: Drink warm, beery-tasting piss.
Aussies: Drink anything with alcohol in it.

Americans: Seem to think that poverty and failure are morally suspect.
Canadians: Seem to believe that wealth and success are morally suspect.
Brits: Seem to believe that wealth, poverty, success, and failure are inherited.
Aussies: Seem to think that none of this matters after several beers.

Brits: Have produced many great comedians, celebrated by Canadians and Australians, ignored by Americans, and are therefore not rich.
Aussies: Have produced comedians like Paul Hogan and Dame Edna Everidge.
Canadians: Have produced many great comedians such as John Candy, Martin Short, Jim Carrey, Dan Akroyd, and all the rest at SCTV.
Americans: Think that these people are American!

Americans: Spend most of their lives glued to the idiot box.
Canadians: Don't, but only because they can't get more American channels.
Brits: Pay a tax just so they can watch 4 channels.
Aussies: Export all their crappy programs, which no one there watches, to Britain, where everybody loves them.

Americans: Will jabber on incessantly about football, baseball and basketball.
Brits: Will jabber on incessantly about cricket, soccer and rugby.
Canadians: Will jabber on incessantly about hockey, hockey, hockey, and how they beat the Americans twice, playing baseball.
Aussies: Will jabber on incessantly about how they beat the Poms in every sport they played them in.

Aussies: Are extremely patriotic about their beer.
Americans: Are flag-waving, anthem-singing, and obsessively patriotic to the point of blindness.
Canadians: Can't agree on the words to their anthem, in either language, when they can be bothered to sing them.
Brits: Do not sing at all but prefer a large brass band to perform the anthem.

Brits: Are justifiably proud of the accomplishments of their past citizens.
Americans: Are justifiably proud of the accomplishments of their present citizens.
Canadians: Prattle on about how some of those great Americans were once Canadian.
Aussies: Waffle on about how some of their past citizens were once Outlaw Pommies, but none of that matters after several beers.

Stripper Names...

Not that I need one, but I find this funny...to make your "stripper name or stage name," you take the name of your first pet and the name of the street you grew up on. It's really fun. My name would be Kiya Ramone, which is kinda hot. We spent a good hour on Thanksgiving coming up with our various stripper names (hey, some of us moved around a lot as kids) and it was a total blast. The list we came up with is below:
Blueberry Paradise - Mom
Tucker Torero - Tyler
Peaches Ramone - Sister
Peaches Frontier - Sister
Honey Herdsman - Jo (Family Friend)
Honey Birch - Jo (Family Friend)
Ratty Valley - (lol)
Groany Cross Country - (Baaaaaahahahaaa)
Kiya Ramone - (mine)
Kiya Frontier - (another of mine)
Blackberry Frontier - My brother

What is your stripper name?

I want it.

I love TopGear. Love them.

This is what I look like after riding the scariest flipping roller coaster on the planet.

Actually my hair looks surprisingly good for just having gone on a roller coaster...

Today is kind of a "meh" day. It is hard to live up to yesterday when my best friend was here and we rode the roller coaster of death, ate sprinkles cupcakes and saw New Moon in theatre.

Sigh.

A Visit From My Twin

It's been so nice to have my best friend/unofficial twin visit me. We took the best walk at twilight by the lake today with my silly dog. Sigh. Tomorrow were going to ride roller coasters, eat sprinkles cupcakes and watch New Moon (again). I love it when my soul mate visits!

Best cheesecake recipe EVER. Oh, and it takes maybe five minutes to make. Does it get any better than this?

1/3 c. sugar
8 oz sour cream
8 oz cream cheese
1 tub of cool whip
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients and stir until completely mixed.
Dump into a graham cracker crust.

Sigh with utter contentment. :)

I don't recommend counting the calories on this one...there really isn't any point. You're screwed.

So last night....I had what you would call, "an odd dream."

I dreamt that there were vampires that looked like lizards but were 6 feet tall and had large orange eyes that camped out in my front yard waiting to suck my blood.

I have serious problems.

This is the best site ever.

Ok, I realize this is kind of messed up...but seriously this guy is hilarious.

A Sunday dialogue with my boyfriend.

My boyfriend decides to cook a late night dinner. I walk into the kitchen to see that he turned off the oven but left the casserole he was cooking inside. Since it's still warm...the casserole is burning.

Me: "Honey, even though you turn off the oven you still have to remove the food because it's going to keep cooking."
Boyfriend: "I turned off the oven and opened the door a little so it's fine."
Me: "Sweetie pie...it's burning."
Boyfriend (frustrated): "It's fine, it was like that before I turned off the oven."
Me: "YES. I realize you turned off the oven...but if the food is still inside the HOT oven...it is going to keep COOKING."
Boyfriend: "No its not, I opened the door it's fine."
Me: ----------.

I just love this picture!!!!!

Fun with the lil' sister!

First of all, I got a new hat, and it is epic!!!!!!!!
This is my new hat enjoying the outdoors.
This is my new hat hanging out with my sister.

Oh yea, and before we hung out with my new hat (:D) we hung out with this hottie!

Oh yea. You're so jealous.

Everyone should have a dose of Trout's "crazy eyes." So there you have it folks. :D
Okay. You have to watch this. Of all things I have EVER posted, this is the best. Easily the funniest shit on the planet. Not even kidding. The beginning is boring, but necessary for the end to fucking crack your ass up.

Have fun kids!

Riding on a PONY!!!!!

Baaaaaaahahahahaaaaaaaa.
I've watched this at least 9,000 times and it still makes me almost pee myself every time!

Le sigh.

It's official. I am a freak. I totally cried watching this video. Let me tell you - that was a first. Since when did I become such a fanatic? I had these beautiful yet painful images of a notebook style love during this performance, and so I cried like a baby. Sigh. Well done boys, and congrats on your EMA.
Now take off your pants!
Sorry, I can't help myself :)

I love my dog.

Don't you wish you could sleep like this?

The Church Brewery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

There aren't even words...other than the obvious, "My camera sucks."
The pew has beer taps.
Is this what heaven looks like?
Can I be married here? It would make taking shots after you say your vows pretty convenient...
Just sayin'.

Thank you Chris!

One of my good friends took this picture right as I was about to turn and give him a dirty look, lol, and I have to say, it is probably my favorite picture of myself. Not that I spend a lot of time looking at pictures of myself - but I really like this one.
Thanks Chris!

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Well, as many of you know I am in Pennsylvania to present my thesis research at the Soil Science Society of America Convention (applause!).
This city is BEAUTIFUL! There are cute rolling hills with forest in fall colors (of course) and waterways everywhere! I have never seen so much water!

They also have these beautiful gardens throughout the city, on random street corners.

Did I mention that they also have a lot of architecture from the late 1700's and early 1800's? Cause they do - and it is phenomenal.

They have buildings with gargoyles! GARGOYLES!

And statues like this one everywhere...

Plus cute Little Debbie smart cars! Everyone wins!

This city is beautiful, and I highly recommend that you visit sometime.
