You were a beautiful distraction
sent to take me away from the pain
to give me strength
so I could walk away
There’s something better
on the horizon though I can’t see
I know fate has
better plans for me
He was beautiful
and possibly the hardest thing to leave
but I had to look to the future
and I had to believe
because I knew it wasn’t meant to be
and I had to escape but it was difficult for me
because I loved him more than my next breath
and now that he’s gone that’s all that’s left
but in time I know I will find
why fate has kept me so blind.
